Sally Klingenstein Martell
Sally Klingenstein Martell is a philanthropist and novelist. A graduate of Tulane University and Stony Brook University’s MFA program in Writing and Literature.
From 1994 to 2019, Sally served as Executive Director of the Klingenstein Third Generation Foundation, advancing research and treatment in childhood and adolescent depression and ADHD. Today she is a trustee of Klingenstein Philanthropies and President of the Klingenstein-Martell Foundation. She also serves on the boards of the New York Historical and Emma Willard School, and is a founding director of the Uptown Film Center.
Guided by a lifelong belief in the transformative power of education and the arts, Sally continues to champion creativity, curiosity, and compassion—values that shape both her fiction and her philanthropy.
